Section - A
(Short Answer Type Questions)
Note : Attempt any six questions in not more than 100 words each. Each question carries 3 marks.
1. (A) What are the views of Sri Aurobindo Ghosh to understand poetry ?
   (B) In ''Crime and Punishment'', do you find the role of the teacher correct ? Give your own views.
   (C) According to Mahatma Gandhi, what types of training are essential to become a better human being ?
   (D) Write a short note on Gandhiji's experience in Tolstoy Farm.
   (E) How can morality and patriotism be imparted in the characters of students through education ? Give C. Rajagopalachari's views.

   (H) How does Dr. Radharkrishnan elaborate Hindu Religious thought in his essay ''Clean Advocate of Great Ideals'' ?

2. What are the main characteristics of poetry according to 'Essence of Poetry' ?
3. Critically evaluate R. K. Narayan's ''Crime and Punishment''.
4. How can spiritual training be helpful to make students moral, civilized and well behaved ?
5. In his 'Homage to Gandhi', Jawahar Lal Nehru says ''the light has gone out of our lives''. Elaborate his love and respect for Gandhiji.
